Food for healthy skin:

I want to cover ‘clean’ foods in a different way.

Surely you are aware that junk food doesn’t only make you fat, but gives you acne, and other skin problems including looking older than you are.

Celery, for example, is considered as part of ‘eating clean’.

I want to invite you to take that a step further.

Your food is mass produced.

It is sprayed with a variety of chemicals and substances. Washing is just not enough to remove it.

Think about the blue carnation: it was white and placed in a vase with blue dye. The blue water colours the petals from the inside and becomes part of the petal.

The same applies to the herbicides and pesticides and fungicides sprayed onto your produce.

Tomatoes and apples are not only highly sprayed crops, they are coated in a wax to make them shiny.

All of these chemicals and toxins increase your body’s burden of toxins.

First and foremost, I am a ‘Hormone Doctor’.

I work with you to keep you young and vibrant.

Your hormone levels do not decline because you age. YOU AGE BECAUSE YOUR HORMONE LEVELS DECLINE.

We extrapolate this from looking at the hormone levels of 80-90-100 year old healthy, active people.

And their lifestyle and food keep their hormone levels higher than the sick people around them of the same age. And closer to younger, active and healthy people.

When I work with my patients to achieve healthy, youthful hormone levels, I look at their body’s biochemistry and toxic burden first.

Well, almost first. I look at the systems that manage their biochemistry as well.

And one of the first things I do is have them look at their food.

Know the ‘Dirty Dozen’: the 12 most highly sprayed, toxic vegetables and fruit around.

The Dirty Dozen:

  • Celery
  • Spinach
  • Lettuce
  • Kale
  • Tomatoes
  • Cherries
  • Apples
  • Grapes
  • Sweet Bell Peppers
  • Peaches
  • Nectarines
  • Strawberries
  • Summer Squash
  • Imported snap peas
  • Potatoes

So before you do anything else, make sure that you eat these foods organic.

Of course, if you have no choice and need to get your veggies in, then do eat them anyway.

It just means that it becomes essential to keep your biochemistry optimized in many other ways.
